Breaded Fresh Mozzarella with Red Sauce

Ingredients

1 pound (16 ounces) BelGioioso Fresh Mozzarella cheese log, sliced into 1/4 inch slices

1 cup flour

2 eggs, whisked

1 cup plain bread crumbs

BelGioioso grated Parmesan cheese

peanut oil, just enough to cover the bottom of the pan

1 jar marinara sauce

Add To

Directions:

Stir together bread crumbs and desired amount of BelGioioso Parmesan cheese.

Dip slices of BelGioioso Fresh Mozzarella in flour, then egg and repeat.

Coat cheese with bread crumb mixture so slices are fully covered.

Heat peanut oil in pan and fry breaded cheese, turning until cheese is warm and coating is browned.

Serve with a warm red sauce or freshly chopped tomatoes, garlic and basil, if desired.
