Blue Cheese Topped Chef's Prime Filet

Ingredients

Chef's Prime Filet (3/4-inch-thick boneless pork rib end steak)
|
|
|
| 3/4 |
cup |
soft bread crumbs
|
|
|
| 1/3 |
cup |
crumbled blue cheese
|
|
|
| 3 |
tablespoons |
natural wheat & barley cereal (like Grape Nuts)
|
|
|
| 2 |
tablespoons |
finely chopped green onion
|
|
|
| 1/4 |
teaspoon |
seasoned salt
|
|
|
| 1/4 |
teaspoon |
pepper
|
|
|
| 4 |
teaspoons |
olive oil
|
|
|
Directions:
Stir together bread crumbs, cheese, cereal, onion, salt and pepper. Add oil; toss to mix well. Set aside.
Place pork on broiler pan. Broil about four inches from heat for eight minutes, turning once. Remove from broiler.
Spread crumb mixture evenly on filets. Return to broiler for one minute more until crumbs are browned and cheese starts to melt.
