Sweet 'n Spicy Three Bean Bake and Franks

A fresh update to an old time favorite - Baked Beans and Franks

Yield: 8 servings

Preparation Time: 10 min; Cook Time: 40 min; Total Time: 50 min

Ingredients

2 Tablespoons butter

1/2 cup chopped onion

6 hot dogs, cut crosswise into 1/2- inch slices

1 can (16 ounce) chili beans

1 can (15 ounce) pork and beans

1 can (15 ounce) black beans, rinsed and drained

1 can (10 ounce) diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard

1/4 teaspoon celery seed

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Saute onion and hot dogs in butter until tender; pour into 2- quart casserole.

Add chili beans, pork and beans, black beans, tomatoes and chiles, brown sugar, mustard and celery seed; stir to combine.

Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Can be served as a side dish or as a dip.
