Onion Rings
Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients

| 2/3 |

milk
|
|
|

egg
|
|
|
| 1 |
tablespoon |
vegetable oil
|
|
|
| 1/4 |
teaspoon |
salt
|
|
|
|
|
Oil or Shortening for deep frying
|

|
| 4 |

medium yellow onions, sliced 1/4-inch thick and separated into rings
|
|
|
Directions:
Mix flour, milk, egg, 1 tablespoon oil and salt in medium bowl. Beat with rotary beater just until smooth.
In large skillet, heat 1-inch oil or shortening until medium hot. Using a fork, dip onion rings into batter; drain off excess and fry in a single layer for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning once or twice while cooking.
