Retailer Gives Back Through In-Store Donations and Significant On-Site Presence at Airshow on July 28 and 29
PITTSBURGH, Pa. SHOP n SAVE, the independently owned and operated grocery chain with more than 90 stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, New York and West Virginia, is honored to announce it will be the title sponsor of the SHOP n SAVE Westmoreland County Airshow for the fourth consecutive year, offering discounted tickets, fundraising support to military organizations and numerous entertaining activities for all ages. The event will take place July 28-29 at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, Pa.
Our sponsorship of the Airshow is something we are very proud to preserve, said Rich Haeflein, Advertising Account Manager, SHOP n SAVE. Supporting the military is a strong part of our commitment to social responsibility and our owners and customers are very passionate about contributing to this cause. Our amazing relationship with the SHOP n SAVE Westmoreland County Airshow allows us to give back in a big way, while also engaging and interacting with our community.
Gabe Monzo, Westmoreland County Airport Authority Executive Director, believes SHOP n SAVEs support is critical to the function of this beloved event.
SHOP n SAVEs incredible contributions and unwavering dedication proves to be a crucial pillar of support for the Airshow year after year, said Monzo. Were excited to work with them to bring this charitable, fun-filled event to life.
SHOP n SAVEs commitment to the Westmoreland County Airshow allows the grocer to amplify family fun at one of the largest events in Westmoreland County, while also providing support to crucial causes. Now through the end of July, customers can purchase a flight wing for $1 at their local SHOP n SAVE, which directly benefits veterans through the Fehertys Troops First Foundation. As a result of 2017 fundraising efforts, independent retailers were able to donate $23,651 to the organization, which the retailers hope to surpass in 2018 (the group raised almost $40,000 collectively).
Continuing its dedication to the armed forces, SHOP n SAVE will join forces with Eckrich, the makers of naturally hardwood smoked sausage and savory deli meats, to present one local military family with a very special surprise on Saturday, July 28. This is a part of an ongoing campaign by Eckrich to honor, thank, and support military veterans across the country.
