Award WIll Send Local Shopper on Vacation to Hollywood April 27

Pittsburgh, Pa.--April 06, 2009-- Out of entries from over 70 SHOP ‘n SAVE stores, Sara Gorsuch of Pittsburgh was randomly chosen as the winner of the 2009 SHOP ‘n SAVE American Idol Fly Away Contest. The award was given away on April 2 at the Rochester Road store location.

Sara, American Idol fan and avid SHOP ‘n SAVE customer, along with companion Alison Lenkiewicz, will receive roundtrip airfare from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles and hotel accommodations for three nights. The two friends will leave on April 27 and will be given two tickets to see a live American Idol performance at Studio City in Hollywood.

“This is our third year holding the American Idol Fly Away Contest,” said Rich Haeflein, Advertising Manager of SUPERVALU which supplies SHOP ‘n SAVE stores. “It’s a popular giveaway among our loyal customers and we are excited to give back to them with contests such as this.”

The award presentation at the Rochester Road SHOP ‘n SAVE, owned by Mike Mihelic, was held to congratulate the winner, where Sara was given balloons, flowers and an oversized award certificate.
