Area residents will benefit from new development featuring side-by-side grocery stores
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – May 23, 2013 – Supermarket veterans Tom and Debbie Jamieson, who have spent more than 25 years as independent retailers running SHOP ‘n SAVE and Save-A-Lot stores, will open their 21st store when SHOP ‘n SAVE celebrates it’s grand opening on Thursday, May 23. The 22,000 square-foot grocery store brings a dual shopping complex to area residents and close to 130 jobs.
“My family and I are thrilled to be able to bring both SHOP ‘n SAVE and Save-A-Lot to the Clarksburg community,” said Tom Jamieson, storeowner. “And this new development will serve customers in a number of ways, including the convenience of two great stores in one location.”
Last month Jamieson’s SAVE-A-Lot opened in the 35,000 square-foot Adamston Commons with rave reviews. The new anchor-tenant, SHOP ‘n SAVE, will feature an extensive section dedicated to the Pick 5 program, as well as quality meat, produce, deli and bakery sections. Because of the unique layout, shoppers will be able to conveniently browse both stores without having to leave the commons.
Grand Opening activities will include in-store demonstrations, sampling of signature items from every one of the stores’ departments, free balloons for children and free carnations. The customer service area will include lottery, gift cards, fax service, stamps and carpet cleaning services, among other amenities.
Located at 1724 Adams Avenue, Clarksburg, West Virginia, 26301, the new store will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m daily.
