PITTSBURGH – May 25, 2011 – SHOP ‘n SAVE®, the independently owned and operated grocery chain with more than 70 stores in Western Pa., Ohio and West Virginia, and Sunoco®, the Official Fuel of NASCAR, have teamed up to reward their loyal customer this summer. From June 1 until August 31, 2011 “spotters,” will be at local participating Sunoco stations looking for cars with the Sunoco Free Fuel 5000 decal. Anyone who is “spotted” with the decal receives a $10 gift card from Sunoco. The “spotter” will also ask the fuel winner if they have their SHOP ‘n SAVE Perks Card, and if they do, they will also receive a $10 gift card from SHOP ‘n SAVE.
In addition to the gift cards given away by the Sunoco representatives, everyone who wins a gift card with the Sunoco Free Fuel 5000 is automatically entered to win 5000 gallons of free gasoline. Free Fuel 5000 decals are available at participating Sunoco and SHOP ‘n SAVE locations. The grand prize winner will be selected at random after the promotion ends on August 31.
“The SHOP ‘n SAVE Perks Card program offers our most loyal users the opportunity to save money both at SHOP ‘n SAVE and at the gas pump through our partnership with Sunoco,” said Bill Lipsky, area sales director for SUPERVALU, which supplies the independently owned and operated SHOP ‘n SAVE stores. “This promotion is an excellent opportunity to reward our customers during the summer travel months.”
